- 25-Oct-2025
- ALCDF TIRANA
Description
The publication aims to promote the tourism, cultural, and natural potential of Malësia e Kurbinit—a region rich in diverse landscapes, historical monuments, and unique traditions of hospitality. It presents destinations such as Laç, Milot, Shkopet Gorge, Skanderbeg Mountain, and the villages of Gallatë, Skuraj, Vinjoll, and Selitë, where history, faith, and nature intertwine harmoniously.
Particularly noteworthy are the religious and cultural landmarks such as the Church of St. Anthony, the Shullazi Tekke, the Church of St. Friday, and the Former Archdiocese of Durrës in Delbnisht—restored after the earthquake of November 2019 with the support of the EU4Culture program.
The brochure invites visitors to experience the area through mountain trails, adventure tourism, traditional cuisine, and welcoming guesthouses. It serves as a practical guide for tourists, operators, and travel agencies aiming to develop cultural and nature-based itineraries in this region.
This publication was prepared by the ALCDF Foundation in the framework of the project “Timeless Tastes: Promoting the Culinary and Tradition of Kurbin”, supported by the EU4Culture programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNOPS in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.
