Traditional dances, gastronomy, handcrafts, fashion, presentation of the projects all together presented and promoted the Cross -Border Cooperation Programme between Republic of North Macedonia and Republic of Albania through the 7th celebration of the European Territorial Cooperation Day named "Past. Tradition. Future. - The way we interact!"organised 21st of October at the Main Pedestrian street in Korça, Albania.
The event was opened by H.E. Luigi Soreca, Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Albania and H.E. David Geer, Head of the Delegation of the European Union in North Macedonia.
The two ministries representing by Sokol Dedja, General Director of Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in the Republic of Albania and Zoran Dimitrovski, Deputy Minister of Ministry for Local Self-Government in the Republic of North Macedonia, that implemented the IPA 2 Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 in the two countries agreed that this is very important for EU integration for Albania and North Macedonia.
The mayor of Korça Sotiraq Filo sent a message the day represented a holiday for Korça to celebrate the EU spirit in their city.
At the event students from Fashion Faculties from Tirana and Skopje made traditional dresses from the past in new modern versions. Additionally, the young dancers and band entertained the guests by playing local music, while the locals enjoyed the gastronomy and indulged in the handcrafts.
