Continuation of Monitoring Activities in Protected Areas Against Illegal Interventions, PONT Project

Support for monitoring activities continues in the Sharr-Korab protected massif. Support for monitoring activities in protected areas against illegal interventions, territorial control, and identification and surveillance of fires or other natural risks is one of the main activities of the National Parks Administration's work. To increase efficiency and effectiveness in monitoring measures in Sharri i Maleve National Park, ALCDF supported the park's team with drone equipment. This support will continue with the creation of joint patrol structures and with networks of observers and supervisors from the residents of villages in protected areas.

This support was part of the project "Protection and Sustainable Use of Protected Areas in Sharri i Maleve, Mavrovo and Korab-Koritnik", financed by the PONT program – Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust, implemented by ALCDF and partner organizations CSCD and LAG Dibra Turistike.
