Consultative meetings with key actors of the project "Protection and sustainable use of the cross-border protected areas of Sharr Mountain, Mavrovo and Korab-Koritnik"

These meetings were in the framework of the project activity for the creation of the joint inter-state structure of the "Strategic Partnership Group" (SPG), which is composed of representatives of the line Ministries, the central department/directorates of the Protected Areas, the departments of decentralization and self-governance support in the respective Ministries of local government, and directorates of forests and pastures in both countries. The purpose of this structure is to increase inter-state cooperation between the two countries and to legitimize the efforts of cross-border cooperation in the Sharr-Korab protected areas. This structure will approve the cooperation agenda and joint activities in the project area. Furthermore, it will facilitate the process of joint decision-making through signing the cooperation agenda of the project, which is in line with an agreement signed by the Ministers of the three countries (Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia) for the cross-border protecting area of the Sharr-Korab.
